BUDD SCHIFRIN PRESENTS...

It's been very quiet in the lounge over the past several months, and due to "The Man", in blogland in general. It's a shame that so many great music blogs and bloggers have been shutdown, or have closed themselves due to all the trouble a while back. One which is sadly missed is the cool & groovy "Budd Schifrin", which was run by the same named compilation king. If you needed a funky retro wah-wah injection, his was the first port of call. Luckily for us, he is still trawling his vast digital archives and coming up with new comps, and that is where we come in...

Budd has sent us his latest project entitled "Trouble in Paradise", and in his own words "I think it’s one of my best wah-wah ‘Call the Cops’ style comps in a long time!". I tend to agree with him, it's a super-smooth collection of gritty grooves and delicious dialogue wrapped up in a funky fur coat. 

Budd wants to test the waters with this one, and if it goes down well he may be persuaded to start up a shiny new site!
