Here is one from the LaserLight label, which if anyone is familiar with will know that they usually contain pretty basic synth versions of theme tunes. These are indeed electronic versions of all our well-known cop shows.
Another compilation of themes from the secret agent/spy genre, including some superb arrangements and versions alongside some more mundane "songs". Overall though this is a first class collection and has something for everyone. Check out the tracklisting and info in the comments...
Another great share from our field agent isbum. Here we have a surftastic album by the Swiss guitar miesters, all put together in the style of a TV themes album. These are all self-penned by the band themselves but if you like your guitars twangy, and your hammonds groovy, you'll love this! When an album contains tracks with titles such as "The Bossa Nova Squad", "Space Mission Number 12" and "Enter The Tiger", how can you not!
Another vinyl gem from one of our field agents Rocket From Mars. Presented here on this two-record set from 1972 are 28 original pieces of John Barry music. Not much to say really, you know the man, you know the music....Enjoy!
Another modern interpretation of the crime jazz genre now, but this time the style is pure swinging 60's. The style here is pure surf guitar and it's all the better for it!
A compilation of more recent tunes from the world of electronica now. Although this is not to everyone's taste, there are some good tunes featured here, including the Space March inspired "Timber" by Grantby, and moody "Wet Stuff" by Folk Implosion. Turn up the subwoofer and chill out!
Many thanks to Cedric for yet another rare record rip. This is a compilation from the 60's containing original soundtrack cues from John Barry & Monty Norman as well as excellent cover versions by Leroy Holmes. The album had two releases, one was a ten track stereo version (The blue "girls" cover above) and a twelve track mono version (The rip featured here and pictured above in Black & Green). Although the "girls" cover is from the alternate release I've put it in the file as an extra, I think it's a better cover but it's up to you which one you use....take your pick. If anyone has a rip of the blue cover stereo version above, please share it with us.
This is a great album, it's volume 7 of the best Easy/Lounge series ever, Capitol Records "Ultra-Lounge". This volume contains eighteen fabulous tracks from the 50's & 60's, by a top drawer collection of artists including Nelson Riddle, Billy May, Si Zentner and many more.
This is a 24kt gold masterpiece of a compilation. From the excellent Mood Mosaic series of releases, this one concentrates on creating a spy mood, and succeeds with ease.
Another of the many spy compilations, maybe you have it, maybe you don't. Well you do now.
An excellent release from the Verve "Jazz Club" series, here we have original recording from the 60's & 70's by some of Jazz' greatest names, including Lalo Schifrin, Quincy Jones, Jimmy Smith and many more...
